  • Set up for multiple day shows: $20-$40 if not present
  • Tear Down (load up) if not present: $30 if not present
  • Please keep in mind I would love for everyone to help with set up/tear down at the horse shows. But I have certain clients who always help and certain clients that are never present. Thus the clients who are present end up setting up and/or tearing down are doing 2x the work. If you don’t want to be charged, then help out, but if you can’t be present that’s fine, but there will be a fee. Only way I can think to be fair to all clients. Hint: The kids can help each other out with setting up. Ask for ways around this fee!

5. Horse Show Splits

  • Tack Room: Tack room cost divided by number of students or horses attending the show, whichever is greater.
  • Trainer Hotel: Trainers Room divided by number of students attending the given show. This also includes assistant trainer’s room if applicable. Families with multiple kids showing will only be charged once.
  • Feed & Bedding: There may be times we travel out of town and transporting hay and shavings is not an option. I always try to bring our own hay, but in the case where we have to purchase feed or bedding from the show or local feed store, the bill will be divided by number of horses attending the show.
  • Hospitality Tent: Some shows, depending on the venue, BFF will provide snacks and drinks. Cost of groceries will be split by families attending. I don’t mind a potluck style situation if someone else organizes it. Then no fees will be involved.

6. Show Deposits – Non Refundable (unless emergency or injury of horse)

Show deposits are due on the same day show entries are due. For example: 1 day shows or local shows generally require entries due 1 week in advance of the show date. Larger, sanctioned horse shows sometimes require entries due 1 month in advance. Your show deposit is for BFF fee’s and does not count towards horse show entry deposits. In the occasion a rider is able to do a last minute entry, the BFF deposit is due prior to the horse departing to the show.

  • One Day Show: $100
  • Weekend Show: $200
  • 3 or More Day Show: $250

7. Show Cancellations – After Entries Submitted/Deposit Paid

  • Still responsible for tack room & hotel splits, show deposit, and any entry or stall fee’s due to show office that are non-refundable.

8. Use of BFF Horse/Pony for Show

If not leasing or ½ leasing a horse, $50 per day shall be charged for each day at show, including warm-up or set-up days that horse is at show grounds. Example: If the show is sat-sun, and we arrive Friday to set-up and practice, and you only show Saturday, you are still responsible for all 3 days horse lease fee. ($150)

9. Show Tack & Equipment Rental – One time flat fee for duration of show

Value of tack will be given at time of check out. If tack is broken or damaged during use it must be repaired to show like condition or replaced with quality tack of equal or greater value. Tack will be checked out clean and should be returned in the same condition. Tack returned dirty will incur a $10 cleaning fee and rider will not be allowed to borrow/rent tack again. (Exception saddle pads can be laundered for an additional $5)
