Please be sure your child practices his/her math facts: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.

FOURTH GRADE

●1 box of colored pencils

●1 pack of dry erase markers

●Ruler

●1-journal for writing (8 ½x 11 notebook)

●A baby picture in a sealed envelope with name

●1 hand held pencil sharpeners

●1 pencil bag

●2 packs of 3in x3in Post- It Notes

●One 3 subject notebook

●1 plastic folder for homework

●2-3 boxes of sharpened pencils

●2 sets of headphones/earbuds to be left at school

Students are expected to be fluent in multiplication and division facts 1-10. Please practice with your child over the summer. Xtramath.org is great website to use over the summer.

FIFTH GRADE *

●2 combination locks (hallway & gym lockers) please, no fancy over-sized locks - they do not fit the lockers

●one 1 in binder w/lined paper

●2 folders with pockets

●sharpened pencils (at least 20)

BAND - REQUIRED FOR ALL BAND STUDENTS IN GRADES 4-8

●one 1½ inch binder (optional)

●several sharpened pencils

●their lesson book

All beginning 4th grade students receive a lesson book along with their instruments the first week of school. All returning Band students will be continuing in their lesson books from last year. If you lost your lesson book please contact The Music Shop (973-334-8484) to order a new one for September.

●5-6th grade = Essentials Elements 2000 book 2 (including 5th grade percussion)

●6th grade percussion = Heim Drum method book 1

●7 –8th grade percussion = Heim Drum method book 2

MIDDLE SCHOOL

●2 combination locks (one for hallway locker and one for gym locker) – please, no fancy over-sized locks - they do not fit the lockers

FIFTH GRADE AND MIDDLE SCHOOL AT HOME
