FAQs for AEARU Summer Camp 2016
1.AEARU Summer Camp and the GlobexJulmester
The 2016 AEARU Summer Camp will be consisted of courses provided by GlobexJulmester (see 2016 Globex flyer) plus subsidized accommodation and extracurricular activities provided by PKU OIR.
Each AEARU member university can nominate up to 2 students to PKU OIR as AEARU Summer Camp participants, to enjoy the PKU-AEARU funded accommodation and extracurricular activities provided by PKU OIR.
If thereare more than 2 students to apply, you may send the excess students directly to Globex program. The exceeding students will need to pay an administrative fee of RMB 2000 per student, staying at accommodation and attending the extracurricular activities arranged by Globex program.
Students can apply directly via the Globex website ( without going through AEARU.
2.Fees
Application Fee
The application fee of RMB 300 will be submitted directly to Globex through online application system.
Globex Dot LNK Options
If the AEARU Summer Camp participants want to participate in the Globex Dot LNK courses, they should pay directly to Globex.
Accommodation Fee
The accommodation for AEARU Summer Camp participants is partially subsidized by the AEARU funding. The original price is RMB 130 per person per day. With the funding, the AEARU student will need to pay only RMB 60 per person.
Textbooks and fieldtrip fees

PKU OIR (International Office)will organizethree(3) city toursfor AEARU Summer Camp participants: Visit to the Great Wall, to Nanluoguxiang (Hutong Tour), and to 789 Art Zone.These trips are free of charge andarranged on each weekend.
The GlobexOffice will offer fee-charging fieldtrips. Details can be found on the Globexwebsite.
Internet Fee
PKU Wireless service enables only toaccess IT service and internal websites of the university. Toreach outside websites and international websites, students need to pay an Internet fee to open an account for external linkages.
3.Student Levels
The program is open to both undergraduate and graduate students.Restrictions to Globex courses are all spelled out beside each course listing - detailed attached 2016 Globex flyer. Several upper-level courses (3rd year and up) are opened to PKU graduate students and PKU Graduate school will award the credits if they successfully complete the course.
4. Deadline
Due to requests of AEARU universities, we extend the deadline for university nomination to PKU OIR to April 1, 2016. And the deadline for nominated students to submit on-line application to Globex is April 15, 2016.
