3) A phone call cost $3.81. Introductory minutes cost $.20/min and additional minutes are $.13/min. If there were 7 less additional minutes than triple the introductory minutes, who made the phone call? Just kidding. How many minutes were billed at each rate?

4) A jar of change has 310 coins in it. Some are nickels and the rest are dimes. If there is total amount of money is $21.10, how many of each coin are there in the jar?

5) The souvenir stand sold Yankee hats for $15 and Mets hats for $11. The store sold 8 more Yankee hats than 12 times the Mets hats and made $311. How many of each hat were sold?

6) Sally’s cell phone company’s daytime rate is $.18/minute and nighttime rate (after 8:00 PM) is $.11/minute. When she got her bill she saw a 35-minute phone call that cost $5.32. What time did the call begin? What time did it end? (Hint: you still need to find how many minutes were billed at each rate).
