1. Where is the most recent PCN found?
The most recent PCN for new employees can be found on the MorphoTrust receipt.
For archived applicants, the most recent PCN can be found on the completed MorphoTrust spreadsheet.
2. How long will an approval notification be available through FARA?
Approval notifications on FARA will be available up to 45 days after the
result date.
3. What if I need an approval notification for fingerprint results that are more than 45 days old?
It is important for agencies to obtain the approval notification from
FARA within the 45 day timeframe.
Failure to do so, will significantly delay the applicant’s clearance.
4. Why can’t I see approval results for an applicant?
Only cleared approval results are displayed.
Approval results may not be successfully displayed for many reasons. For example:
· Availability of results can vary from 1-10 business days
· If an applicant is under 18 years of age
· If the applicant was previously printed under a different name
· If there was an invalid entry in one of the fields
· If additional information is needed
5. Why will approvals not be issued for applicants under 18?
Statutory authority states that applicants must be 18 years and older in order to be fingerprinted.
6. Why is the name different on the approval notification?
If an applicant changes names, the system is unable to automatically update a name change. Please contact the Central Fingerprint Unit at 609-292-0207 for a corrected copy.
7. What is the process date?
For archived applicants, the processed date is the date located in the
process time column of the completed MorphoTrust spreadsheet.
8. What should I do if I have a problem accessing FARA?
