Congratulations! This confirms (for the teams and their results are listed at the bottom of this message) that you and each of your team members will each receive the indicated individual trophy as shown at our Annual Awards Session. The times for each age group are shown below.
(NOTE: Each player on each team will receive either the individual Sportsmanship, League Champion, League Finalist, Cup Champion, Cup Finalist or for Dribblers and Trappers Participation Trophy. In the case of the SEGO Cup, teams receive their individual trophies based on being either League Champion or Finalist achievement - however the players on Champion and Finalist teams in each SEGO Cup will also receive an individual metal representing their SEGO Cup accomplishments).
The Awards Session will be on Sunday afternoon, December 5, 2010. It will be held at Anderson High School Auditorium. The schedule for each age group is as follows:
DRIBBLERS (100's) 1:00
TRAPPERS (200's) Even Numbers 1:35
TRAPPERS (200’s) Odd Numbers 2:05
SHOOTERS (300's) 2:35
PASSERS (400's) 3:10
FLYERS (500'S) 3:40
WINGS (500's) 3:40
We have divided the Trappers age group into two different sessions (Trappers even numbered teams in first session and odd numbered teams in the second session). We took this action so that the length of time that would have to be spent in the Auditorium would be reasonable. It also will reduce the crowding and ability of everyone to easily enter/exit the auditorium. Please come to the session at the time shown above for your age group.
Girls can wear their uniforms (or only their Uniform Shirts). Parents, brothers, sisters, and relatives are invited. Everyone attending should be in his/her seat by the specified time. Remember, parents are there to see their own children. Since those that are last have to watch those that are first, the latter should remain their seats and watch all of their age group. SO EVERYONE SHOULD REMAIN FOR THE ENTIRE SESSION WHICH WILL NOT LAST LONG. PLEASE TELL YOU PARENTS NOT TO LEAVE UNTIL THE SESSION FOR THEIR AGE GROUP IS OVER.
After each session, please leave the Auditorium promptly to make it easier for those coming for the next session. All teams will come to the stage, as called, to receive their trophies. Each player will be introduced by name. We will have available, on stage, a copy of your roster for you to use to introduce your team.
AFTER YOUR TROPHIES ARE PRESENTED, NO SPEECHES PLEASE. JUST INTRODUCE YOUR TEAM MEMBERS AND RETURN TO YOUR SEAT.
Because of our schedule, we must keep on time for all concerned. Let's have good sportsmanship during the evening. Have your players cheer for other teams after they receive their trophies. Please tell your players only to cheer for each team. LETS NOT CHEER FOR INDIVIDUALS!! This type of action can cause bad feelings for those that do not get individual recognition.
Each team will receive one (1) trophy for each play and one (1)for the head coach. If you team wants to sit together, you should plan on being at the school early.
We will prepare checks that are due reimbursement for playoff and Cup games (remember you collected for the first Cup/play off game) [we also adjust for games forfeited games or games that the referee did not show up] played after your first game. We will deduct the cost of the trophies from the amount owed to you for referee reimbursement or if your team is not due reimbursement for extra trophies you should be prepared to pay for the trophy on stage.
We have been using Sunday afternoon for presenting the trophies for a number of years. In order to reduce the crowding, we have left time between the sessions to give you and your parent’s time to leave the auditorium before the next age group is trying to get into facility. In this way parking, entrance and e- Participation xit from the school should be improved.
