LOCATION.--Lat 41°48'45.8", long 92°03'52.6" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, in SE 1/4 SE 1/4 NE 1/4 sec.24, T.81 N., R.11 W., Iowa County, IA, Hydrologic Unit 07080208, on left bank 5 ft upstream from bridge on County Highway V66, 0.8 mi north of Marengo, 1.0 mi downstream from Big Bear Creek, 4.6 mi upstream from Hilton Creek, and 134.1 mi upstream from mouth.
DRAINAGE AREA.--2,794 mi².
PERIOD OF RECORD.--Discharge records from October 1956 to current year. Prior to January 1957, monthly mean discharge for some periods published in WSP 1728.
GAGE.--Water-stage recorder. Datum of gage is 720.52 ft above National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929.
