PAYMENT OF RE-EXAMINATION* FEES

PAYMENT OF RE-EXAMINATION FEES

1.OVERVIEW

1.1Re-examination feesare payable by all final year candidates (including staff candidates) who are re-assessedin their final level for awards of Cardiff Metropolitan University. Candidates who have been unsuccessful in one or more element and are due to be re-assessed (e.g. take resit examination/s, re-submit projects/dissertations/other method of re-assessment) are required to pay the appropriate fee.

1.2Details of fees will be updated and published each year by the Finance Officeand appended to this document.

2.PROCEDURE FOR RE-EXAMINATION FEES(TAUGHT PROGRAMMES)

2.1Identifying Candidates

2.1.1Once final ExaminationBoards have met, candidates who are to be re-assessed for awards should be identified.

2.1.2Academic Registry should inform each candidate of the re-examination fee requirements and provide details.

2.2Payment of Re-examination Fee

2.2.1All candidates required to pay the re-examination fee should do so within 30 days of being informed.

2.2.2Payment should be made either through web payment, the Finance Office or I Zone.

3.PROCEDURE FOR RE-EXAMINATION FEES (RESEARCH DEGREES)

3.1Candidates re-submitting a thesis or portfolio of works for a Research Degree (PhD or MPhil) or a Professional Doctorate must submit the appropriate re-submission fee to the Finance Office and their resubmitted thesis or portfolio to Academic Registry, Llandaff Campus.

3.2A resubmitted thesis or portfolio of works will not be sent to the examiners until the appropriate fee has been paid.
