ZULULAND CYCLING CLUB MEMBERSHIP & REGISTRATION PROCESS

This guide has been compiled to assist you in the step by step process and sequence of events you need to follow to complete your membership registration with ZCC as well asCSA (Cycling-SA). Should you have any queries, please do not hesitate to contact any of our committee members for assistance.

STEP 1 – Complete ZCC Membership Application (There Are 2 Ways This Can Be Done, See Options 1 & 2)

Submit Electronically:

  • ZCC membership forms are available on our website for download. (
  • Complete the application form and email it to
  • Transfer the required monies to ZCC bank account and email proof of payment to
  • Forward facing photograph of each applicant must be emailed to , this will be cropped and used for your membership card. Existing members renewing their 2010 license only need to send picture if you want change from the one submitted last year.

Submit Manually:

  • ZCC Membership forms are available at Zululand Cycle Shop or can be downloaded & printed from our website (
  • Payment for membership can be done at the cycle shop or directly into our bank account.
  • Complete the application form, attach your proof of payment and drop it off at Zululand Cycles
  • Remember to attach the passport size photograph of each member to the application

STEP 2 – Complete CSA Membership application

Cycling South Africa (CSA) requires all members to be a member of a provincial affiliate and a club. ZCC is affiliated to Kwa-Zulu Natal Cycling (CKZN).

CSA Membership

Membership will be available through the CSA web site ( Membership will entitle riders to race, be seeded and participate in CSA sanctioned events. Exceptions are detailed under Racing License Section

CSA Racing License (UCI License)

A Racing license can only be bought once you are a member of CSA. You can upgrade to this option at any time. A license card will be issued and posted to you. A racing license allows a rider to represent South Africa and participate in UCI sanctioned events. SA Championship events and SA Colours require a racing license. CSA points will only be given to riders with a full racing license. Racing Licenses are for all riders 16 years and older. Youth Riders and younger can race and get all the racing license benefits as a CSA Member.

Steps:

  • Go to webpage
  • Click on “Membership Policies” on the right hand side of their page
  • Click on Membership 2011 - Login / Register

  • If you have registered before, select the first option to register, else login if you have user name & password.
  • Enter the required fields and click on “NEXT”. You will be sent an email with a link to validate your registration. Very occasionally, the email will be rejected by your mail server. If you do not receive your email within an hour, contact Cycling-SA (). DO NOT try re-register as this will simply create duplicate incorrect data
  • Validate your registration by clicking on the link on the email.
  • Log-in using the username and password you chose during registration (this will also be in your validation email)
  • Click on the "Apply for membership" link that appears on the page after you have logged in.
  • The CSA membership (R75.00)must be selected. You will also be charged (R35.00) Provincial Affiliation (KZN) fee and the Racing License (R350.00) is optional and must be selected if you require this. Click next, this will show you the summary of what you have bought, allow you to read the terms and conditions and check.
  • Check out and pay with your credit card.

After this, your membership will need to be approved by your club, by your province and by CSA. When all approvals are complete you will be notified. These notifications are sent to the email address you entered on your personal details.

NB: Please note, your CSA membership will not be verified or approved by ZCC until we have received your completed Membership application and proof of payment.

STEP 3 – document collection

ZCC will notify you via email or sms when your membership documents are complete. These can then be collected from Zululand Cycles.
