Pleaseensure that you inform us of any errors as soon as you receive this invitation to avoid any delay in receiving your certificate.
Kindly note the following procedures with respect to the ceremony:
REGISTRATION
You need to register by 10:00. You will receive a graduation card with your diploma/degree details. This card also indicates your allocated seat. Graduates are seated in alphabetical order, from the front row of the auditorium. You will hand the card to the Master of Ceremonies, who will announce your name. Guests will be shown to their seats in a separate area in the auditorium.
ACADEMIC DRESS
Academic dress is compulsory for the ceremony and consists of a black gown and hood.
The regalia will be sold and distributed on the7th, 14th, 21stand 28thof Marchfrom 09:00am to 16:00pm at the IMM GSM offices in Borrowdale. The cost of buying a gown and the hood is USD50.00 for the diploma; USD75.00 for the degree (which includes the gown, hood and cap).
PHOTOGRAPHS
The IMM GSM has appointed “EOS Photography” as official photographers for the ceremony. Photographs will be taken during and after the ceremony. The cost for 4X6 inch is $2.00, 5X7 inch is $5.00 and for 8X12 inch is USD10.00. If you intend to have any photographs taken, please make arrangements to arrive 2 hours before the ceremony in order to place your order.
NO PRIVATE PHOTOGRAPHERS WILL BE ALLOWED.
AWARDS IN ABSENTIA
Candidates who are unable to attend the ceremony may collect their diplomas/degrees from the IMM GSM office within the first month after the graduation ceremony. All uncollected diplomas/degrees will then be sent to the Johannesburg office for safekeeping and students will be required to pay the required courier fees to have it sent directly to the student.
