Youth Development & Coaches Clinic

About the IndianaCounty Football Club:

  • Established in 2008 the Indiana County Football Club is a local amateur soccer outfit providing organized football to the Indiana County Community through camps, clinics and in-house leagues.

Age Groups & Layout:

  • Players ages U8 through U10.
  • Parents and Coaches are part of the clinic and are implemented into drill instruction and advised by the ICFC staff.
  • One 90 minute session per age group, once a week for 8 weeks.
  • Includes 4 assigned ICFC experienced and licensed coaches who will demonstrate, execute and evaluate tactics for each age group and their respective coaches.

Clinic Goal:

  • To teach and execute the fundamental skills required by both coaches and players that will build the proper foundation of soccer knowledge in the IndianaCounty youth soccer programs.

Clinic Format:

Pre-Clinic Meeting

  • Meet with parents and designated volunteer coaches in what the clinic will emphasis, and how a typical evening will operate.

Week 1

  • Small sided games used to evaluate players skill level (This is NOT a tryout.) All players are then ranked in groups 1-4 based on skill level.

Week 2 – 6

  • Each week covers a skills topic where drills are demonstrated by the ICFC staff and then implemented by the youth coaches. These weeks will not only build the required skill set of a player but also provide the parent coaches with hands on experience on how to design, and execute an effective practice.

Week 7 – 8

  • Inter squad 4 v 4 or 5 v 5 group play including individual player analysis performed by the ICFC staff.
  • Clinic Awards.
  • Finest 11 player designation.

Arena

  • Introduces ICFC staff with Pee Wee Coaching Staff.
  • Should require mandatory attendance by Pee Wee Coaches.
  • Introduces the format and layout of the 8 session clinic and Q&A.
  • No longer than 1 hour in length.
