C O N D U C T C O V E N A N T
The intent of this covenant is to ensure the integrity and dignity of St. Mark’s
and the youth and adult leaders of St. Mark’s Youth and Family Ministry.
- I will treat all facilities and property with dignity and respect.
- I will treat all others (youth and adult leaders), as well as myself, with respect and love.
- I will participate fully in all activities with a positive attitude; this means, in part, that I will always be at the appropriate place(s) at the appropriate time(s) for any activity or trip/retreat.
- I will always be with at least one other person and I will never be anywhere that I should not be at anytime.
- I will not curse, swear or use vulgar language at anytime.
- I will follow all rules and regulations for any activity or trip/retreat; this includes rules/regulations of the facilities, as well as the particular rules/regulations established by St. Mark’s Youth Ministry, both of which will be clearly defined and explained.
- I will remove myself from situations that are unsafe and situations in which issues of discipline are being compromised.
- I will report, in confidence, all safety concerns and situations in which issues of discipline are being compromised to the Youth Minister of St. Mark’s Youth Ministry and/or any adult leader of the activity or trip/retreat immediately.
- I will not engage in inappropriate sexual behavior.
- I will not participate in any illegal activities, which include, but are not limited to, vandalism, theft, and the use of alcohol, drugs and tobacco products.
I have thoroughly read and completely understand each requirement of this covenant; I will strive to follow all aspects of this covenant throughout my participation in any activity or trip/retreat with St. Mark’s Youth Ministry. I am also aware that my failure to adhere to any of these requirements will result in disciplinary action. Specifics of the disciplinary action are up to the discretion of the adult leaders for the particular activity or trip/retreat and will be determined based on the details of the situation and the seriousness of the violation. However, I know that this disciplinary action may range from exclusion from activities or constant adult supervision to removal from the activity or trip/retreat (at the expense of parent/guardian) or exclusion from future involvement with St. Mark’s Youth Ministry.
