The 1920s
The twenties was a vibrant decade that saw great consumption of consumer goods and the spread of leisure. However, everything was not positive for all Americans. You and a partner are going to become an expert on one facet of the 1920s.
Your task is to create a 7-10 minute lesson/presentation on your assigned topic of the twenties. It will consist of the following:
Handout
PowerPoint
The handout should cover key people, events, terms, products, or dates concerning your topic. It can be an outline, glossary, timeline, pamphlet, or any format you deem appropriate. The handout will serve as a set of notes for the class.
The Power Point must have a title slide. There must be 4 – 5 slides of information. There can be slides dedicated just to pictures or visuals, but they will not count towards the 4 – 5 slides. Be prepared to talk about the visuals though.
The PowerPoint can be on a specific issue of your topic rather than covering everything. The handout should cover the major issues. Do not make the PowerPoint a duplicate of the handout.
Remember you only have up to 10 minutes. Have a focus to your presentation. Your handout can cover things you do not discuss in the presentation.
Be prepared to answer questions about your topic, PowerPoint, or handout.
You will need 26 copies of your handout which includes one for you, your partner, and me.

1. Mass Consumerism: Automobiles, Appliances, Malls, and Advertisement.
2. Mass Culture: Radio, Movies, Sports, and Magazines.
