2013Membership Form

The Seaway Trail Foundation is a non-profit organization that offers high quality cultural and educational exhibits and programs that raise awareness of the unique history, culture, and nature found along the Great Lakes Seaway Trail. Our educational programs, the SeawayTrailDiscoveryCenter, byway-wide interpretive signage and many other initiatives ensure the Great Lakes Seaway Trail is a preferred travel and vacation destination offering exceptional visitor experiences.

Your Seaway Trail Foundation membership helps support:

  • SeawayTrailDiscoveryCenter – located along the Eastern Lake Ontario shores of SacketsHarbor in the historic Union Hotel (c. 1817), the DiscoveryCenter features interactive exhibits on a variety of topics including Maritime Heritage, Military History, Lighthouses, Natural History, Agriculture, Architecture, and more
  • Blue Star Museums Program – the SeawayTrailDiscoveryCenter and other Foundation events recognize all active duty military personnel and their families and thank them for their service by providing free admission
  • Great Lakes Seaway Trail Quilt Show – held annually each March, this one-of-a-kind art exhibit features a unique byway-related theme each year and draws hundreds of attendees from throughout the northeast & Canada
  • Great Lakes Seaway Trail Walks – created by the Great Lakes Seaway Trail Volkssport Association, leisure walks in communities along the byway enable walkers to enjoy the region’s natural beauty, learn about local history, and benefit from a healthy outdoor activity
  • Other projects, programs and events – including Great Lakes Seaway Trail Guidebooks which focus on topics such as birding, the French & Indian War, the War of 1812, and other aspects of the region’s unique history
