YOUNG FARMERS’ CLUB
COMPETITIONS
Special Prizes:
The Ruth Sargent Cup will be awarded to the club which gains the most points for prizes overall in the YFC Section. Points will be awarded 1st: 3 points, 2nd: 2 points 3rd: 1 point. In the event of a tie, the Young Farmer with most first prizes will win the cup.
A silver salver presented by Mrs M Crapp to be awarded to the Young Farmer (Female) of any Club, with the highest individual score.
A perpetual cup presented by Avon Farmers Ltd to be awarded to the Young Farmer (Male) of any club, with the highest individual score.
Notes: Entries must be staged between 2.00pm and 6.30pm on FRIDAY 7th JULY
NO EXHIBITS WILL BE ACCEPTED INTO THE MARQUEE AFTER THIS TIME.
Judging commences at 6.30pm prompt.
On the day of the show entries must not be removed before 4.30pm, unless an earlier pick up time has been arranged with the Domestic Secretary. If any entries are not removed by 5.00pm, any remaining food items will be destroyed.
Entries will be at your own risk.
Competitor’s name and number will be found on the tables in the Domestic Marquee. No Competitor may have more than one entry in any one class.
Conditions of entry
1 All classes are open to Members of any YFC.
2 Exhibits must not have been previously shown at this show.
3 Photography class 10:
(a) may be in black and white or colour prints;
(b) should not exceed 8” x 6” and
(c) all photographs must be mounted (maximum mount size (paper or card) 10” x 8”)
(c) should not have been shown at this show before;
4 No exhibitor may have more than one entry in each class.
NB: More than one entry from each club allowed in each class
5 When entering large exhibits, please advise domestic secretary of overall size.

10 Photography – “Animal Faces” (see notes under Photography section page 38)
11 Any other handicraft – Girls. Size to be stated on the entry form
12 Any other handicraft – Boys. Size to be stated on the entry form
13 A floral arrangement entitled “Twigs & Twine”. 24” x 24” space allowed
