Español 1- 2nd Marking Period Project

Objective:

You will create a Diamante poem (IN SPANISH) describing what type of person you ARE and what type of person you ARE NOT.

You will write about what things you like to do and don’t like to do.

  1. Typewrite, handwritten, or powerpoint
  2. You will follow the model below and fill-in adjectives and verbs from your adjectives/verbs notes or use your textbook
  3. POEM MUST BE CREATIVE AND COLORFUL:

You may mount poem onto construction paper and decorate it.

ABSOLUTELY, NO lined paper and NO large poster size paper! You may use ½ of a poster board size paper.

If you decide to create a powerpoint save it on a USB flashdrive and bring it in to present. You may also email it to me at

  1. Title it: YO!!!
  2. PICTURES (Total 5; one of yourself!)
  1. Include a minimum of FOUR pictures. You may use photographs, magazine cut-outs or clipart that represent your poem. You can also draw and color NEATLY!
  • TWO PICTURES of affirmative statements and TWO PICTURES of negative statements!
  • Make sure the pictures are nice and neat! NO stick figures!
  • The pictures must fit on the front side of the same paper! No
  • pictures on the back!
  1. For powerpoint presentation pictures can be scanned an upload or use clip art.

You will be graded on: a. The final product according to the above directions.

b. Creativity and presentation

If you choose to type your poems, please make sure you have all the materials needed before printing. Do not wait until the last minute to find out you were missing…ink…

If you choose to create your project by hand, make sure that it us neatly written.

*There are no excuses for not having it done and turned in on time!! If any of these apply to you:

“ I don’t have a computer, my computer jammed, my computer crashed, I ran out of paper/ink”

10 points off for each day that it is late.

  • Do not forget to Title it!!
  • Make sure you don’t confuse or mix adjectives and verbs
  • Make sure adjectives agree with the gender (masculine/ feminine)
