Application form

Extracts from Ofsted and SIAS inspection reports, May 2012

We are seeking to recruit a well-qualified teacher of boys P.E to join our successful P.E department. The successful candidate will have excellent subject knowledge and will be able to foster enthusiasm and enjoyment of the subject with a clear focus on student achievement. Applicants will be enthusiastic, and highly motivated teachers, determined to achieve the highest standards for the students that they teach. As the post involves supervising boys in changing rooms, it is restricted for reasons of decency and privacy under the Equality Act 2010 to male applicants.

In order to apply, you should complete the application form and write a supporting letter of no more than 1,000 words in which you should present your relevant expertise and reasons for applying for this post.

This is a school where you can enjoy teaching and the vast majority of pupils want to learn. In May 2012 Ofsted judged St. Hilda’s to be ‘Good’ overall with ‘Outstanding’ behaviour. Our Statutory Inspection of Church Schools, carried out immediately after Ofsted, gave our school ‘Outstanding’ in all aspects. Ofsted said, ‘Students’ exemplary behaviour contributes to an outstanding climate for learning, and makes a significant contribution to their good achievement. They are keen to learn and proud to come to St. Hilda’s.’

This is an exciting time to join St. Hilda’s C.E. High School; in September 2015, the school will move to a brand new building, next door to where the school is currently located. At that point, St Hilda’s will admit boys as well as girls into Year 7 and become a mixed school rather than all girls.

If you have further enquiries please contact the HR Manager, Mrs Danielle Pfeifferon . I look forward to receiving your application form and statementthrough TES Hirewire bymidnight on 31st May 2015.

Yours faithfully,

Mrs E Benson
