“Unstoppable…”

“You owe it to yourself to hear her.”

“She makes the angels smile.”

“Puts you into another world.”

“A celebration….”

“Sings like an angel.”

“People in Sweden would be lining up to hear you.”

These are but a few words from fans and fellow musicianswho describe Doris Williams. When she sings be itRenaissance, Celtic, spiritual, or original music Ms. Williams taps into the depths of her soul and shares its beauty with her audience.

After singing in various chamber choirs, she began to explore a solo career with extraordinary renaissance and folk musicians. She has produced two CDs:“Celtic and Beyond,” and “Renaissance and Beyond.”They explore her versatility as an interpreter of renaissance and Celtic music. On these albums she plays the lute, tin whistle, keyboard, and sings. She displays her talents as a song writer of folk and spiritual music on both CDs.

“In these albums as well as on stage, Ms. Williams brings that early music alive, so much so that sitting in the audience, I felt as though I had been transported back in time to a different era when for instance, love poetry and song was far different from what it is today. She is truly a remarkable singer and performer.” Bill Leikam, Jazz Reviewer at “All About Jazz”
