  • Goal setting – Non-judgemental sharing = ‘Weather Report’ – What is it? Why we share. ‘Goals & Challenges’
  • Working towards your goals
  • Discussion around ‘Leadership’ & ‘Attitude’ Quote
  • Introduce Journal writing based on the idea of goal-setting and reflective practice

Entries in a reflective journal can include:

  • Points that you found especially interesting in your reading, and would like to follow up in more detail.
  • Questions that came up in your mind, because of points made in material you read from assigned readings.
  • Out-trip details & highlights/discussion points/new learning materials/maps/drawings/trip plans etc.
  • Link for tips on Journal writing on blog

  • USE COLLABORATIVE TIME IN AM FOR FOOD/TENT GROUPS *Trip Plan etc.
  • Final backpack checks – don’t take stuff out over the weekend
  • Final meal planning with groups
  • Trip planning details= Trip plan handed in at end of class
  • Trail and campsite etiquette- lecture/discussion
  • Bear Free Camping- discussion/lecture
  • Enter GOALS front of journal… and set TWO PERSONAL GOALS, TWO GROUP GOALS – prepare to share
