  • Do you like to sing, even badly? Are you a dancer? Have you ever been called dramatic? Come to auditions for The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, a musical about kids who don't quite fit in but have a passion for spelling (and have some weird ways of showing it). The show will open the beginning of March. Auditions areMonday, December 18ORTuesday, December 19with callbacks onWednesday, December 20. Nothing needs to be prepared--students will be asked to learn, sing, and dance 16 bars of a song from the show and read from a few scenes. We hope to see you there! Please consider decorating your door as a class and donating the $5. The donations will go to the Open Door Mission to serve meals. Contest will run fromDec. 4th-Dec.13th. Judging will take place onDec. 14th. The winning group will win a sweet treat.
  • Science National Honor Society will be hosting a gingerbread decorating contest after school onDecember 13in room 356. Basic supplies will be provided, and snacks and a holiday movie will be played. If you would like to sign up a team, please pick up and complete a form from Mrs. Armbruster in room 356 byFriday, December 8.
  • Tickets for the Christmas Candlelight Vocal Music Concert are on sale this week during lunch at the TBird Nest. They are $5 for students and $7 for adults. The concert is Monday, December 11th and Tuesday, December 12th. Come join us for some holiday music.
  • 3 on 3 Intramural Basketball Wednesdays at 6, starting December 13th at the Lied Activity Center. Free and any Bellevue West student can play. Put together your own team of 3-5 players and show up. Contact Mr. Blackwell in room 618 for more information.

This is an opportunity for students to learn more about animal care and wildlife management through hands on experience and classes at the zoo. It is a two-year commitment and students must be on track for graduation. See your counselor for an application.
  • GSA will be having its annual holiday party tomorrow, Tuesday the 12th, from 3:30 to 5 in the small cafeteria. We will have food any games. All students who want to show their support of LGBTQ youth are welcome to attend.
