…including tour of the historic French Quarter and more!

September 21-25, 2016

Day 1: Depart for Birmingham Al where we’ll attend Mass at the EWTN Chapel, then enjoy a box lunch, listen to a talk by one of the Friars, and tour the EWTN TV/Radio Studios. After a catered dinner we will be part of the live audience for EWTN Live Show with Father Mitch Pacwa. Overnight Birmingham

Day 2: After breakfast we’ll depart for New Orleans with a lunch stop. We’ll celebrate Mass at St. Ann Shrine, then head to the nearby Archdiocese of New Orleans Retreat Center, our home for the next 3 nights, where we’ll have dinner, and free time to explore the grounds and visit the chapel.

Day 3: After breakfast we’ll depart for the French Quarter, visiting St. Cabrini Shrine and the International Shrine of St. Jude, then on to the Cathedral-Basilica of Saint Louis King of France for a tour of the Cathedral and Mass. We’ll then walk two blocks to the famous Court of Two Sisters restaurant for a Jazz/Brunch, followed by a one hour walking tour of the French Quarter and some free time to browse this old historic area! We’ll gather at the motor coach for our return to the Retreat Center for dinner. We’ll have the opportunity for group reflection and night prayers.

Day 4: After breakfast we’ll depart for the Shrine of Our Lady of Prompt Succor to learn about her miracles surrounding the city’s historic events. We’ll then savor a delicious lunch at the renowned Commander’s Palace Restaurant. We’ll visit St. Alphonsus Church and then cross the street to the Shrine of Blessed Francis Seelos, where we’ll hear his story in a one hour tour before attending Mass at St. Mary’s Assumption Church, adjoining the Shrine. We’ll stop at the St. Katharine Drexel Chapel at Xavier University to hear about her legacy as we return to the Retreat Center.

Day 5: We’ll celebrate morning Mass before breakfast and departure by motor coach for our return to Knoxville with a stop for lunch. The ride will give us ample time to think about all we have seen and done and thank God for the many blessings this journey of faith has brought us and our diocese!

Total Cost for the Pilgrimage: $750.00 per person based on double occupancy (single available)

This includes: All motor coach related costs, all accommodations, 4 breakfasts, 3 lunches (EWTN, Court of two Sister, Commander’s Palace), 4 dinners and tips and fees associated with tours.
