What is Astronomy?

Astronomy (from the Greek words astron (ἄστρον), "star", and nomos (νόμος), "law") is the scientific study of celestial objects (space objects) and phenomena that originate outside the Earth's atmosphere.

Celestial objects are structures which current science has confirmed to exist in space, including stars, planets, moons, asteroids, galaxies, comets and blackhole.
