Supporting the Membership of:
Northern Wake Fire Department
To All Citizens and Property Owners of the Northern Wake Fire Department Response Area:
In years past the Northern Wake Fire Auxiliary, previously known as Stony Hill Fire Department Auxiliary, has held an annual photo fundraising event. Traditionally we have had our annual photo fundraiser during the fall season, however this year we are having the Fundraiser this spring. We will not be going door to door this year for donations. We hope you appreciate this less intrusive method and show your support by using the enclosed self-addressed envelope to mail your donation directly to us. As a non-profit organization, your donation is 100% tax deductible.
As many of you know Bay Leaf and Stony Hill Fire Departments were merged into one July 1, 2017 to become Northern Wake County Fire Department. Northern Wake Fire Department consists of five fire stations: Station 1: 11713 Six Forks Rd.; Station 2: 7045 Stony Hill Rd.; Station 3: 13116 Norwood Rd.; Station 4: 15633 New Light Rd.; and Station 5: 1431 Lynn Rd. These five fire station organizations have provided many years of excellent service to the citizens and visitors of Wake County. Northern Wake Fire Department now assists with fire protection to over 35,000 residents in a 62 square mile jurisdiction. They support the operations of 5 engines, 1 ladder truck, 2 rescue trucks, 4 tankers, and 1 brush truck out of five stations all maintained by over 100 dedicated members. Last year our members assisted on 4,087 emergency calls. Day or night, they leave their homes, jobs, and families 24 hours a day, 365 days a year to assist when duty calls. In addition to the demanding hours they have to stay up to date on training, take vigorous physical exams, and stay current on certifications. Many of our local firemen have also assisted in other regions of the nation during natural disasters.
Due to local residential support/contributions over the years the Northern Wake Fire Auxiliary has been able to make purchases for the firemen that have exceeded the yearly Wake County budget. For example, we purchased a phase compressor for Station 2 last year so the firemen could fill their oxygen tanks on the premises.
In appreciation for your support, we are offering the opportunity for a free Photo Session to everyone in our community. Those who participate will receive a free digital photo CD of all images and a release form. There is no minimum donation amount to take advantage of this offer.
