Last Call for Health Insurance Enrollment: Enroll Wyoming Partners with Local Organizations
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Cheyenne, WY–Enroll WyomingHealth InsuranceMarketplace navigators, who are specially trained and federally certified, are on the homestretch of open enrollment 2014-15. They have joined with Laramie County Library, Laramie County Community College, and Cheyenne Regional Medical Center to host the final events for this year so the community:
- Understands how the Health Insurance Marketplace works,
- Reviews coverage options, and
- Receives assistance in enrolling in their plan of choice.
Local navigators have traveled the entire state for the past 3 months. To date, according to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, there have been 19,070 plans selected on the Marketplace. As of January 9, 2015, Laramie County alone had almost doubled the amount of enrollees this open enrollment season. Navigators are making their final attempts to reach individuals and families in need of health insurance coverage in Cheyenne this week.

The enrollment period will end this Sunday, February 15, 2015. The Health Insurance Marketplace offers a wide variety of Wyoming-based health plans with good benefits. All plans cover doctor visits, prescriptions, hospital stays and more.
Individuals may qualify for financial help to pay premiums and out-of-pocket expenses, such as deductibles and co-pays. The Affordable Care Act may provide a tax credit (called the advance premium tax credit) to help you afford health coverage purchased through the Marketplace.
For those people who already have health insurance through the Marketplace, the Open Enrollment period provides the opportunity for them to review their options and find a plan that best suits their needs. It is important for people to re-enroll since more plans are being offered this time and insurance companies may make changes to premiums, cost-sharing and benefits.
