Metaphor / Leaves = men fallen in the field / the trees reach their hands to embrace the morning sun
Alliteration – consider using soft sounds to create an effect / Wind whirled them whistling / silver snowflakes
Verbs add detail / Whistling/ slain/ wandered / shimmer, shine, drift
Adverbs add detail / Slowly, silently / quietly, gracefully, elegantly, softly
Ending refers back to the beginning but with a twist / Leaves falling to the ground - like snowflakes - men falling in battle / trees wave farewell to the day
