DRAFT Minutes

Minutes / Action
1 / Apologies as above
2 / Minutes of last meeting agreed correct
3 / Actions previously arising – NS DP SN to work on NP survey questions, NS to seek quotes from market research agencies, NS to fwd Metrocount data (once clarified by WC), MP to update website, DP to seek WC attendee for NP meeting.
4 / TORs. New TORs discussed and accepted with emphasis on continuing to recruit volunteers and ensuring that the group avoids a drift to the PC members doing the majority of the work.
5 / HNS – Publish the basic HNS info in the Bridge and start investigating the other threads suggested by WC’s Belinda K and Catharine S. Consider inviting a WC rep (Mr John Walker or Ruaridh) to next meeting or meet during week for advice. Brief discussion on 30% affordable housing formula and likely overall housing number requirements. / RS
DP
6 / NP Questionnaire. DP and MP produced 2 sets of survey questions from consultation with other members, all Qs discussed. Much discussion over how many questions and what depth to pitch at, who to target - households or individuals. DP supported questions to establish more understanding of community housing aspirations and provide evidence of housing need. Other members preferred a more minimalist approach with a simplified choice of potential sites as a potentially quicker NP solution. Further discussion ofsimplification of the survey versus maintaining respondent attention, avoidance of assumption that respondents are ill informed or uninterested. MP to compile a new list of questions and reformat the parish council survey element with DJ’s assistance, MP to dist new survey for member review.DP suggested running final survey via Liaison officer which was agreed.
NS reviewed quotes for external market research companies but asked to seek cheaper quotes. SN and DP to agree wording and distribute a letter to known land-owners. / NS
