(Ex: Cold War, containment, coups to remove people from power).

- An array of specific details from DBQs, notes, warm-ups, class discussions
- Some outside information
- Clear analysis
- A formal tone with minimal grammar errors
- Take a clear stand throughout your essay
Things to avoid:
- Slang or informal language
- Shifting verb tenses
- 1st person “I” “me” “we” or “our” statements or 2nd person “you” statements
- Pencil or colorful pens other than blue or black ink
