World Agility Open Championships 2017 - Team Denmark selection procedure

Tryouts will be held in March 2017 at Sannes Hundecenter, Årupvej 65, 8722 Hedensted.

Three dogs in each jump height category (300, 400, 525, 600 – see jump height scheme below) will be selected to represent Denmark at World Agility Open 2017, WAO. WAO will be held inErmelo, Netherlands on 19.-21.of May, 2017.

Based solely on the cumulative results of 3 rounds – fewest penalties and fastest overall course time on the 3 courses combined (1 jumpers and 2 agility) the top three dogs in each jump height will win a spot on the team. These dogs/handlers will be running all three events – Biathlon, pentathlon and games. Refusals and faults will count as 5 penalties. Elimination equals 100 penalties plus the standard course time.If tiedagility weighs more than jumpers.

Requirements
The handler/dog must:

  • be a Danish citizen or permanent resident.
  • be capable of making his/her own travelling arrangements, as well as pay for the entire trip, entry fees etc., as outlined below.
  • meet the vet requirements for a trip to the championship and return to Denmark.
  • meet WAO standards for the jump height for which you are applying, and it must be able to be measured.
  • Be familiarized with the WAO rule book (

Selection guidelines, Team Denmark World Agility Open Championships 2017 follow directions given by the WAO committee and team management.

Funding
The trip is self-funded – team members are responsible to pay for their share of expenses including (but not limited to) travel, vet fees, hotel, event fee, team uniform (T-shirt/sweater).

How to enter tryouts

Send your application with the following information to Team manager Julie Tambjerg ():

  • your name, address and phone number
  • name, birth date, gender and jump height of the dog you wish to enter (if your dog haven´t been measured we will do so at the tryouts)

Every handler is allowed to enter more than one dog. An entry fee of 150DKK must be paid in advance.
