Activities:

1) Introduction

The moderator presents other moderators and she announces the main goal of the workshop.

The name of our today's workshop is 'Let's meet in a different way'. Our main goal today is to encourage you to think about yourself, about your feelings, to talk about your opinion in public, to listen actively and to raise yourself-confidence.

2) Icebreaker

The moderator announces that every student needs to name one quality that describes him/her best and that quality begins with the first letter of his/her name. The moderator gives an example. It is important to leave up to 30 seconds for everyone to think.

3) Questions

The moderator informs the students about the next activity and explains the rules of it:

Each student picks a question from a box and then thinks about the answer. (It is important to give students some time.)

4) Break

After the first round of questions, moderator announces activity for the purpose of exercise. The game called “Fruit salad”. People sit in a circle and the moderator stands in the middle. Each person is assigned one fruit (apple, pear, plum), including the moderator. When the moderator calls out one fruit, all people that have been assigned that particular fruit switch places. If the moderator says “fruit salad”, everyone switches places.

After the game, a new round of questions follows.
Moderators ask additional questions if the student answered with yes, no, I do not know.

5) Discusion

1. How did you feel when you were answeringthe questions?

2. How often do you think about your feelings, needs, attitudes?

3. What is a common method of communication among students?

4. How interested were you in what other students would say?
