Workers’ Hospitality

Items Required

·  List of items to be purchased

·  Plastic tablecloths

·  Dishes and baskets

·  Large coolers

·  Ice for both days

Requirements;

·  Organizational ability

·  Availability the night before and all days of the trial and to stay late on the late day of the trial (until judging is complete) or split the job with another person that will assume these responsibilities.

·  Arrive early on Friday or early the day of the trial to set things up

·  Ability to stay attentive to the hospitality table and rings during the trial.

·  Patience and a good sense of humor

·  Trials at Star Hill require full time vigilance as there are several outside groups that can not be allowed to partake in TMAC goodies/

Duties;

Before the trial – arrange for bakers if appropriate.

·  Check in baked goods and record for worker hours.

·  This position is responsible for organizing and updating food/ drink at the hospitality table.

·  Supplies must be picked up from the storage trailer prior to the trial.

·  A list of items that need to be purchased(Paper goods, plates, napkins, paper towels) needs to be available for the person buying extra food.

·  For Tolland Trial, someone (up to this point it has been Pam) should go to Sam’s or BJ’s to spend about $350 on fruit, candy, soda, water.

·  For Hamden trial, this is greatly reduced and limited to candy, snacks.

Day(s) of the Trial

·  Buy plenty of ice for large coolers each day – at least 40 lbs. Per day for Tolland. Less for Paws. And it also depends on the time of year at Paws. Winter trial use much less.

·  Early morning set up tables with snacks and baked goods.

·  Throughout the day make sure items are replenished and area kept neat

After the trial

·  Clean up and pack items in appropriate places in bins to go in the trailer.

·  Make a list of items in the paper goods bin and put this list on Google docs.

·  Items purchased and left over from Sam’s or BJ’s must be returned for refund

·  Provide TMAC Treasurer with an accounting of hospitality costs after the trial is complete.

Judges’ Hospitality

Requirements;

·  Communication with the Trial Chair as to any special needs that the Judge might have

·  Be available all day to supple a small cooler with water and snacks to both ring side and at the judging table.

·  If trial facility does not have items that judge’s request, purchase them and bring to trial.

·  Take lunch order from judges, order and deliver.
