Key messages HRPTS Stream
  1. Meeting took place with the AD Steering group on 14th January to review BRP HRPTS Initiatives. This included updates on; Electronic Payslip, SPF, Efficiencies through ESS/MSS, plus OM and L&D CRs.
  2. RTM meeting took place on 16th January to agree the way forward for the remaining items. Progress has been made and each item categorised with a plan of action. CR updates to be provided to the BRP Team to work through with Axon.
  3. Electronic Payslip CR284 for ESS Payslip switch on/off Bulk upload will be available for HSC Organisations at the end of January 2015
  4. Deployment of eRec – readiness activity on track for full system go-live and cutover, SEHSCT, NIAS and NIMDTA (2 February 2015) and BHSCT (1 April 2015). eRec will be deployed for use by retained service and dormant for transferring recruitment services until transition to SSC. Draft readiness plans shared with WHSCT and NHSCT for go-live and deployment in May 2015.

FPL Residual Activity
A / A / 28 Feb 15 / JAC / AP interface in Live. GL interface failed UAT. Retesting indicated another fault, HSC to retest.

FPL BRP Activity
G / G / 28 Oct 14 / FPL BRP Activity / Wave 1. Work packages presented at BRP Project Board 28/10/14 and Programme Board 03/11/14. Approval to develop CRs. CRs have drawn up (except Marketplace and Supplier Portal) and have been approved by the SRO.

Costs have been submitted by HCL Axon for additional licences £2880 +15% uplift +19% maintenance charge year on year per licence. HCL Axon have also put forward a proposal for the bulk buying of licences (i.e.) if 150 licences were purchased then HCL Axon could discount the cost by 65%.

The licence allocation model was put forward to BRP members (6th January) to agree. Option 4 was identified as the preferred option however some members requested an opportunity to assess the impact with their staff and feedback at the next BRP Project Board 27th January 2015

TSR is in production but deployment dependent on licence allocation/availability. Defect raised delaying pilot at BHSCT.

A / G / 31/08/15 / ESS / MSS Deployment / ESS/MSS Forecasted Deployment January 2015
Plans have been updated by the WHSCT Trust for ESS/MSS and deployment drops were completed in Dec’14 (1191) and Jan’15 (2498). This brings the total deployed to date for WHSCT to 7385.
Based on Trusts forecasted deployment plans at the end of January 2015 ESS/MSS will have reached 37286 approx. 58% of the ESS/MSS population.
Options for the category “No ESS access” are being investigated by the BRP Team and will be updated in the SAP Fiori Paper.

Deployment / E Rec Deployment
SHSCT live with E-Rec on a phased basis since 10th November 2014. SEHSCT, NIAS and NIMDTA on-track with plans to go live with eRec and deploy to retained services on scheduled dates (2nd February 2015); BHSCT on track for 1 April 2015. Readiness and cutover templates shared with NHSCT and WHSCT.
HRPTS BRP Activity
G / G / 31/01/2015 / Single Pay Frequency / SPF Next Steps
Agreement has been reached to progress the SPF Business Case - Option 4 for approval within the current financial year however the associated risk with this option needs to be addressed with HMRC before it can be taken through the approvals process. The next steps are as follows;
  • HMRC issues to be addressed
  • Capital and revenue requirements to be finalised to move this forward for approval.
  • Business Case submitted through the BC process for sign-off and approval
Subject to approval and funding including any potential issues with HMRC if the above are addressed then the SPF would be ready to go through.
