BOARD OF EDUCATION

Work Session/Special Board Meeting – June 24, 2015

CALL WORK SESSION TO ORDER

The work session was called to order by President Carol Greenstreet at 5:35 p.m. with the following members present: Gwynne Dawdy, Corbin Graber, Beth Huber, Nancy Lecky, and Mrs. Greenstreet.

DISCUSSION

Discussion took place on sustainable funding and potential options the district is considering. Next steps: prepare a presentation to include our clarity of purpose, get our parent group together, and receive confirmation from legal counsel before deadline date.

TRUANCY GUIDELINES

Director of Educator Effectiveness Tina Cassens distributed information on students who were absent 12 days or more this past year, reviewed the recommended changes to our truancy guidelines, and asked for feedback from the Board of Education.

ADOPTION OF FINAL BUDGET APPROPRIATIONS RESOLUTION 2015-2016

After final review of the 2015-2016 budget, MOTION Dawdy, second Huber, to adopt the final budget appropriations resolution as presented (Addendum C). MOTION CARRIED; Voting Aye – Dawdy, Graber, Greenstreet, Huber, Lecky.

EXECUTIVE SESSION

MOTION Huber, second Dawdy, to adjourn to executive session at 7:09 p.m. to discuss a personnel matter as per C.R.S. §24-6-402(4)(f). MOTION CARRIED; Voting Aye – Dawdy, Graber, Greenstreet, Huber, Lecky.

MOTION Lecky, second Graber, to adjourn from executive session at 8:57 p.m. MOTION CARRIED; Voting Aye – Dawdy, Graber, Greenstreet, Huber, Lecky.
