WOMEN'S UNDER 23 SCHEDULE

All Women rugby players who are 23 years of age, or younger as of December 31, 2003 are invited to tryout for the Under 23 all star team. Even if you are not selected, it is a valuable education tool for your rugby career. The costs are subsidized so as to reduce the expense to the individual player.

USA Rugby is divided into 7 Territories. Each Territory consists of Local Area Unions (LAU). Our LAU is the New England Rugby Football Union (NERFU). We are part of the Northeast Territory (NRU) which includes Metropolitan New York (METNY) and the Upstate NY Conference (Upstate).

All players selected for their LAU are invited to the NRU camp at U Mass/Amherst. This camp is also open to all other players and you do not have to be on the LAU side to be selected for the NRU.

The National Championships at Blaine, MN. will include all the territorial teams and selections for the National team will be made predominately through that venue. It is optional for players to attend any of these functions and you will not be penalized if you choose not to participate in any of these.

NERFU Camp will be held on Sunday, May 4, 2003 from 11:00a.m. until 3:00 p.m. at the University of Massachusetts in Amherst, Massachusetts, in order to select sides to compete against the MetNY and Upstate New York Under 23 Sides on Sunday, May 18, 2003, in Albany, NY.
There will also be a camp held on Saturday and Sunday, May31st and June 1st, to select the Northeast Under 23 Side which will be competing at the ITT’s in Blaine, MN on June 25, 2003, through June 29, 2003.
