Dear Boss,
With so much transformation going on throughout our industry, your team recognizes other utilities, vendors and industry leaders can be very helpful to us as we face those challenges. We can benefit from their shared knowledge and lessons learned. Plus, I want to be a more knowledgeable part of our solution.
CS Week is the premier annual conference of venues that provide learning and networking opportunities in support of the utility customer service lifecycle. They organize this life cycle around 7 tracks: Billing, Credit and Collections, Customer Engagement, Devices, Data & Analytics, Field Customer Service, Payments, and Strategies and Management. 2016 marks CS Week’s 40th year of offering utility customer service and IT classes. CS Week is recognized as a must-attend conference, so much so that the American Gas Association and Edison Electric Institute have combined their customer service conference with CS Week starting in 2016.
CS Week 40 runs from April 25-29, 2016 in Phoenix, AZ. With multiple venues to choose from, I can, for example, participate in a tightly-focused one‐day College class on Monday, a business process-driven Synergy Group on Tuesday, and then attend pertinent workshops from the 60+ lineup on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday at the CS Week Conference. I can even choose between tracks, like taking 3 Billing, 2 DD&A and 1 Payment workshops, all selected with our goals in mind. CS Week even offers workshops emphasizing Canadian, gas and water utilities.
I'll meet peers in utilities similar to ours as well as larger ones and others farther along in their transformations or taking alternative measures. At every step, I'll learn about best practices and innovation from speakers who know utilities from the inside. Just think, in the future, we could be on the other side of the microphone, sharing with and informing others about our initiatives.
I'll also build industry relationships, meeting mentors, counterparts and exhibitor contacts we can use as resources throughout our projects. The spirit of CS Week is one of sharing, camaraderie and networking - looking forward instead of settling for status quo.
Because CS Week is directed by senior utility executives, keeping costs low and value high is essential to every part of this learning opportunity. They even have a "Send 4, Pay for 3" registration package to encourage teams to attend, so the earlier we register, the more affordable the fees are.
Let's discuss this and see how much attending CS Week can augment our plans.
Sincerely,
