Downloading and Installing Citrix

1. Instructions for Downloading and Installing Citrix

Once your request for access to SVRIS has been granted by the State Vital Records Office, you will be notified that you need to download and install the Citrix client on the workstation that you will be using to access the SVRIS application.

Citrix Install for SVRIS

1. Before you begin this process, check with your local IT staff before installing this client to ensure that you do not have a compatible version (10 or newer) of Citrix already installed and to ensure that you are following your local IT policies and procedures.

2. Go to the appropriate URL at:

3. Enter the logon ID and password that was created during your Wisconsin’s Active Directory registration process. Also, select the “wiext” domain. Click the “Log In” button when complete.

4. Click on the Citrix download link under “MessageCenter” (see the link highlighted by the red box).

5. If you receive the following screen, click “Run”. If not, go to the next step.

6. Click “Run” to start the Citrix install process.

7. Select your language. English should be the default, so just click “OK”.

8. Wait for the Citrix installer to prepare to install Citrix.

9. If you have any other programs open, it is suggested that you save your work and close any other applications before you click “Next”.

10. Select “I accept the license agreement” and then click “Next”.

11. Accept the defaults and click “Next”.

12. Leave Server Address blank and click “Next”.

13. Accept the default entry and click “Next”.

14. Accept the defaults and click “Next”.

15. Accept the default and click “Next”.

16. Accept the defaults and click “Next”.

17. Click “Next”.

18. Please wait for the install to complete.

19. Install has completed, click “Finish”.

20. Click “Cancel” as a server address will not need to be entered here.

21. If you do not want to get the screen shown above when you log in to your computer, navigate to the Startup menu option under Start and then Programs. With the mouse cursor over “Program Neighborhood Agent”, right click and select “Delete” from the menu that pops up. Select “Yes” if you get a confirmation prompt.
