RULES AND CONDITIONS
1. Box and trailer parking is in the field opposite Snowball Farm.
2. Correctly fitting hard hat manufactured to one of the minimum current standards, such as PAS015:2011; with BSI Kite mark, with a three-point linkage properly adjusted and fastened must be worn by all riders, whether competing or not, at all times whilst mounted at Snowball Farm.
3. No stallions except by permission and no horses under 5 years of age.
4. Warm-Up Areas: no-one on foot allowed in warm-up areas. No lungeing/leading in all-weather warm-up arena. Competitors must leave the warm-up areas immediately if asked to do so by a steward/official. Additional warm up to the rear of Trailer/Lorry park.
5. The organisers will not be held responsible for any accident, loss or injury to any person or their property however this may be caused.
6. Dressage will be run in accordance with British Dressage Rules.
7. Unaffiliated Classes: BD registered horse and rider combinations must ride H/C.
8. All My Quest and Team Quest competitors must have a minimum of a Quest Club membership or any other paid up British Dressage membership. All horses must have a minimum of Associate Horse Registration – this can be done online. Quest Club competitors must provide their membership and horse registration numbers when making their entry. Quest classes are run under British Dressage rules with regard to tack and bridle numbers, but riders may wear Team colours. Quest Club Riders may compete in any region; their points will be given to their own Regional Leader Board.
9. Team Quest teams: minimum 3 members, maximum 4. Team name must be registered with BD and have a nominated Team captain. A Team may only be represented once per competition day.
10. Permitted Bits – you may be eliminated from the Dressage if your bit does not comply with those specified in the BD Rule Book. Please make yourself aware of these rules.
11. It is the responsibility of competitors to be aware of the rules. See www.britishdressage.co.uk/rules
12. The judges’ and organisers’ decision is final. Any objection must be made in writing with a £15 deposit, which is returnable if the objection is upheld.
13. The organisers reserve the right to alter the schedule at any time.
14. The organisers reserve the right to amalgamate or cancel classes with insufficient entries.
15. The organisers reserve the right to refuse entry to any class for whatever reason they deem necessary.
16. Dogs must be kept on non-extendable leads and under control at all times.
17. Please keep horses well away from the riding school.
18. Spectators are welcome but please keep children under close supervision and park in the horse box/trailer park and not in the farm car park.
ENTRIES
1. My Quest and Team Quest entries must include Rider Membership and Horse Registration numbers. Quest Competitors must enter either U18 or OPEN classes. See http://www.britishdressage.co.uk/membership Quest competitors may not enter Unaffiliated classes.
2. Online (preferred) and Postal entries only. For online entries please visit http://snowballfarm.co.uk/horse-shows-and-events-near-maidenhead-windsor-and-london/online-entries/ Entries may be posted when completing debit/credit card details which must be signed, or by enclosing a cheque payable to Snowball Farm. Telephone & E-mail entries will not be accepted. Incomplete entries will not be counted.
3. Entries close 5pm on the Wednesday before the competition, after which late entries, if space is available, are £2.50 extra per Class. Incomplete entries will not be counted.
4. We cannot guarantee a place in the competition before the close of entry, but there will be a waiting list. Entries will be taken on a first-come-first-served basis. Please indicate in your entry if you wish to be placed on the Waiting List.
5. The secretary must be notified of any change of horse or rider at least 20 minutes before the start of the class or the entry will become void. Change of horse and rider is not allowed.
6. Those who withdraw in writing before the closing date will have their entry fee, less an administration fee of £4 per Class refunded. Entry fees in any other circumstances will not be refunded unless a class is cancelled due to insufficient entries. Charges for entering online will be not refunded in any circumstances.
7. CHEQUES - Competitors whose cheque is not honoured by the Bank for ANY REASON, will incur a fee of £5, which must be paid before any future entries are accepted.
8. Making an entry indicates acceptance of these rules and conditions.
STARTING TIMES
Starting times will be available on the Friday preceding the competition between 6.30pm and 8.30pm on 07731902105 (DO NOT USE 01628 666222 as no one will be available to answer this line). Times will be posted on www.snowballfarm.co.uk after 9.00pm on the Friday before the competition.
DIRECTIONS TO SNOWBALL FARM - Please be aware that there are low bridges and road narrows on certain routes to Snowball Farm. (some SatNavs will not avoid these) We suggest the following routes:
From M40:
Leave M40 at J2, join A355 towards Slough.
Go through Farnham Common then through Farnham Royal.
At Wicks (on your right, Big Yellow Storage on Left) turn Right into Buckingham Avenue
Follow this road through industrial estate. Stay on this road into Burnham
At Bee pub on your Right follow the road to the Right (do not go straight over)
Follow Dropmore Road for approx 700m. At the grass triangle turn Right onto Dorney Wood Road.
Snowball Farm is approx 700ms on the Left with parking on the Right.
From M4:
Leave M4 at J7 (Slough West), turn Left onto A4 Bath Road towards Maidenhead.
Straight across at first set of traffic lights.
Turn Right at Roundabout (Sainsbury’s on your left) into Lent Rise Road. Go under Railway Bridge.
At mini roundabouts go straight across (keep garage on your right).
At next set of mini roundabouts turn Right into Gore Road.
At the end of Gore Road turn Left (opposite the Bee pub) into Dropmore Road.
Follow Dropmore Road for approx 700m. At the grass triangle turn Right onto Dorney Wood Road.
Snowball Farm is approx 700ms on the Left with parking on the Right.
