WinSport opens spring season with adrenaline rush

Calgary, Alta.–WinSport is the number one stop for adrenaline junkies this spring and summer, with the our Zipline at the Park and summer bobsleigh experiences opening for the season on Saturday.

The Zipline at the Parkis North America’s fastest zipline, launching riders from the top of Canada Olympic Park’s iconic ski jump. Riders reach speeds between 120 and 140 km/h, using a unique cable system in a comfortable harness.The ski jump tower provides a zipline that is 500 metres long with a vertical drop of more than 100 metres.

WinSport’s summer bobsleigh is Calgary’s most exhilarating sport experience. Riders fly down the same track as the Olympians, twisting and turning around 10 turns and travelling at speeds up to 90km/h.Accompanied by a professional bobsleigh driver, including current and retired Olympians, this will be 50 seconds you talk about for the rest of your life!

WinSport’s onsite partner, Skyline Luge, is also opening on Saturday for the season. Skyline Luge is entering its second full season in Calgary on the heels of successful locations in New Zealand, Singapore and Mont-Tremblant, Que. The unique wheeled gravity ride provides the rider full control through more than 50 twists and turns as they descent 1,800 metres of a continuous downhill trajectory. Skyline Luge’s Calgary track is the longest in the world.

Mountain bike season at WinSportis scheduled to open in June (weather permitting), while the mini-golf course opens on June 6.
