1.Announcement

TheWillie Loughman Forest Rallyis promoted by Carrick on Suir Motor Club Limitedandwillbeheldon the 2nd of March 2014. Amendments to these Supplementary Regulations will be issued by numbered bulletins.

All competitors who submit completed entry forms agree to be bound by these regulations.

Dear Competitor,

I would like to welcome you to this year’s Willie Loughman Forestry Rally; an event run by

competitors for competitors. The event includes a total stage distance of 65 kms,

encompassing three stage locations. I look forward to welcoming you all to Waterford

in March for a safe days rallying.

2.Organisation

2.1 Carrick on Suir Motor club Ltd.

  • The Willie Loughman Memorial Forest Rally is promoted and organised by

Carrick on Suir Motor club Ltd. (here after known as the organisers)

  • The rally is a qualifying round of:

(A) Valvoline National Forest Rally Championship 2014

(B) TRITON Showers South East Stages Rally Championship

(C) Carrick On Suir Motor Club Championship.

  • These regulations have been submitted and approved by Motorsport Ireland and the necessary permit for the holding of the Competition has been granted.

4. Classes

Class 1: Cars up to 1450 cc (See note 5.2.1)

Class 2: Cars from 1451 cc to 1650 cc with only 2 valves per cylinder (See note 5.2.1)

Class 3: Cars from 1451 cc to 1650 cc with more than 2 valves per cylinder (See note 5.2.1)

Class 4: Cars from 1651 cc to 2100 cc with only 2 valves per cylinder (See note 5.2.1)

Class 5A: Cars from 1651cc to 2100cc with more than 2 valves per cylinder, 2 wheel drive

Class 5B: Cars from 2101cc to 3500cc, 2 wheel drive

Class 6: Four wheel drive cars, excluding all WRC cars in this class must comply with their last published homologation papers. In addition the following cars may run with the changes as outlined in Appendix 29 - Notes on classes 3-3.3: Subaru Legacy homologation nos. A/N5399; Ford Escort RS Cosworth, homologation no. A5466 and Ford Sierra Cosworth 4x4 homologation no. A5414

Class 7: All WRC cars. Must comply with their last published Group A homologation papers as per FIA appendix J

Class 8: Group N Four wheel drive complying with their last published homologation papers as per FIA Appendix J

Class 9: Junior Class: This class is open to drivers born on or after 1.1.88, driving cars up to 1650cc, 2 wheel drive, normally aspirated

Class 18: Historic cars see Appendix 29 Articles 17 - 21 of the 2014 MI Yearbook. All

vehicles entered in this class must be accompanied by a log book issued by Motorsport

Ireland or by the MSA.

Class 20: Four wheel drive cars as per Appendix 29 including note 16 on classes. (See Appendix 32 of the 2014 Motorsport Ireland Year Book for class notes

5.2 Entering the Event

The Entry Fee is includes Personal Accident Insurance, Championship

Registration Fee, Forestry Repair Fund, Standard Rate IRDS Insurance and Fire

extinguisher charge).

Both an online and the traditional paper entry systems are available for this event.

Regulations and Entry Form will be published on 3rd Feb and will be available from

If the entry is made online, the indemnity must then be printed, signed and posted to

the entries secretary. Failure to print and post the indemnity and cheque will result in

an invalid entry. Any person that is not able to complete an on line entry will be assisted

with same by contacting the entries secretary.

If Entry is submitted by post, the ‘Entry Form’ together with a cheque can be posted to

the entries secretary. Manual Entry Forms can be downloaded from the club website

carrickonsuirmotorclub.com

StandardEntry fee: €495 Can be paid by cheque, Card (please make the cheque payable to

Carrick on Suir motor club. A payment plan is available for the event, please contact entry

secretary for details.

6. Supplementary Regulations

Article 1

1.The competition will be held under the International Sporting Code of the FIA,

The General Competition Rule of Motorsport Ireland, these Supplementary Regulations

and the Valvoline National Forest Rally Championship Regulations. All competitors who

forward a completed Entry Form agree to be bound by these rules.

Article 2

  1. The supplementary Regulations for the Rally are as stated by the Motorsport Ireland

2014 Yearbook and the Valvoline National Forest Rally Championship also in Appendix 32of the 2014 yearbook.

2. Final Instructions form an integral part of these Supplementary Regulations.

Article 3

  1. The use of Forestry Lands for testing or practicing is prohibited, anyone found doing

so on the stages to be used for this event will be refused a start and reported to

Motorsport Ireland. All named officials are judges of fact, in this regard.

Article 4

  1. Safety notes will be allowed on this event. Competitors will not be allowed Recce the

stages before the event.

2. Safety notes will be available from third parties on Saturday, 1st March. The Club has

no involvement in their preparation or sale and accepts no responsibility for their

accuracy.
