William S. Stein

Bill is a business and community leader with extensive experience in both the for profit and nonprofit sectors. He has held executive positions or consulted with The Carnegie Institute, DuPont, H. J. Heinz, Kimberly-Clark, Blue Cross and Blue Shield, PPG Industries, Saatchi & Saatchi, the MAYA Group and more.

He has or is currently serving on the Boards of Directors of The Bayer Center for Non Profit Management at Robert Morris University, RiverQuest, Society for Contemporary Craft, the Community Design Center of Pittsburgh and others. He has served as adjunct faculty at The John Heinz School of Public Policy at Carnegie Mellon University.

Other civic involvement includes Scouting, Little League, YMCA, Odyssey of the Mind, Outreach Teen and Family Services, and the Senator John Heinz Pittsburgh Regional History Center.

A resident of Pittsburgh, Bill currently provides interim ED services, operates a consulting practice, and is the part time Executive Director of Family Tyes, a youth development and environmental conservation nonprofit.

Geoffrey Stillson

Geoffrey has been providing consulting services in planning, management, operations and finance to profit and nonprofit organizations for over forty years. Though the focus was in healthcare for many of those years, he has extensive experience with helping nonprofit service agencies in such areas as; interim management (the Green Building Alliance, the Good Grief Center, Focus on Renewal and the Animal Rescue League and Venture Outdoors), developing and implementing financial and “turn around” plans, operations improvement, organizational structure and staffing assessment, board development and effective board operations and structure, fundraising and developing the required organizational structure to be effective, strategic planning , and mergers and acquisitions.

He has provided these services both in the Pittsburgh are and around the country. He spent ten years as a consultant designing, implementing, and evaluating inner city social development and poverty related programs in distressed areas around the country. He also has over thirty years of successful senior operations management experience in both the for-profit and non-profit sectors, including an organization of 500+ employees.

Adding to this experience and insight, Mr. Stillson has over the years also served actively and effectively on the Board of Directors of numerous nonprofit organizations including Sarah Heinz House (Board Chair and past Treasurer), The Pittsburgh Zoo (past Chairman), Gateway Rehabilitation, Rx Council and Downtown Rotary.
