In my role as an LSE, it was my responsibility to triage and validate any potential IPTV/Microsoft Mediaroom bugs found in AT&T NSIT Labs, resolve if possible, or assist Microsoft PFE\Development in resolution of the issue. I troubleshot and validated incoming data including CTL’s, memory and process dumps, Wireshark network traces, server event logs, Mediaroom trace logs, and database backups. My analysis tools includes the use of: Wireshark, Windbg, DebugDiag, Visual Studio, and .net reflectors. I had also acquired responsibility for assisting in the support of MSTF.

I Provided full site technical support for 350 users, tenWindows 2003 servers, the Cisco network, and administration support of the Cisco VOIP phone system for the Las Campanas site. During my time at Las Campanas, I recognized the need for centralized IT functions and implemented the necessary technologiesso that a single System Administrator could run the entire site. This included: Network maintenance\monitoring, server support, desktop support, procedures, practices and policies. This was accomplished via a combination of end user training, remote control deployment technologies, and system automation.

My responsibility wasto evaluate the current state of the computing infrastructure, advise the leadership team of necessary changes, implement the agreed to technology,and provide the corporation with the means to operate more productively. I provided full technical support for two resort sites as well as partial support of the corporate offices. I also assisted in the selection of permanent IT personnel, and accumulated\wrote documentation for future project and support needs.
I identified and corrected serious flaws in the resorts’ mission-critical software as well as their network infrastructure. I implemented Symantec corporate Anti-Virus, and CA corporate anti-spyware solutions; PowerwareUPS protection (for their server rooms),corrected issues with their Wireless 802.11b,and Cisco security (PIX 515 and VPN remote access technology) devices. In addition to this, I reconfigured the network infrastructure by connecting remote sites with site-to-site VPN and T-1 connections.
In addition to all the above, I also supported the Mitel SX-200 Phone system,Polycom’s IPOWER 9000 Video Conferencing system, H.S.I Property management and POS systems, Windows 2000 Servers, Windows XP desktop machines, and Macintosh OS X based systems.

My responsibility was to establish a secure computing environment for Eclipse Aviation. This included: Developing and implementing security policies, procedures, and guidelines; providing support in the use of Eclipse Aviations’ access control systems; Analysis and investigation of all security infractions and violations, and development of a security awareness program.
During this time, I uncovered and took successful action in several security incidents. I also provided guidance, and a point of contact in physical security matters. I evaluated, implemented and maintained the company’s Intrusion Detection System (Cisco IDS), Virtual Private Network (Cisco VPN 3000 concentrator) and integratedthese technologies into CiscoWorks 2000 (Cisco VMS 2.0). I also provided full support for SurfControl 4.6 SMTP E-mail content filtering system, and Symantec Corporate Anti-Virus.

I assisted in the facilitation and implementation of rules, policies, and standards in the operation of the IT department. I provided technical support in the design, implementation, and maintenance of a networked computing environment. I researched and successfully implemented new technologies to benefit Eclipse Aviation such as: 802.11b secured wireless network, RSA Security’s one-time authentication technology, Good Server 2.0 (for Blackberry). I researched the viability of Tablet PC and Itanium-2 (IA-64) computing platformsas well as Grid computing platforms in a manufacturing/engineering environment.

This included technical support of Windows 2000 Servers and workstations, PolyCom Video conferencing systems, IIS 4.0, Microsoft Exchange Server 5.5, Veritas and Legato backup solutions, Unigraphics v16–v19 CAD, Cisco technical support of 2000 series routers, PIX 520 firewall, and 4000 series switches with supervisor-2 modules. I provided hardware support of HP and Compaq servers, HP and Dell workstations and the Cisco 802.11b wireless network.

Network Engineer - subcontract
My responsibilities were to provide design, installation, maintenance, and security of the Burns and Roe \ General Atomics network for the APT project. This included cross platform support for 300 Windows NT 4.0 workstations, Novell Netware 4.11a servers, and Windows NT4.0 servers. Among the duties above I also served in the capacity of Assistant Computer Security Officer (ACSO) for the APT project.
During my involvement, I expedited the implementation of a dark-fiber project to expand the current facility. The project had been stalled for nearly six months prior to coming on board, due to installation problems and timeline issues from local telephone providers. I successfully facilitated and coordinated this project and was able to bring the project from design to reality. This resulted in dramatically increased productivity and eliminated overcrowding.
I conducted security investigations into external hacking incidents and compiled data to use for prosecution(if necessary). Evaluated and installed Abirnet Sessionwall-1 software to assist in intrusion detection and deterrence.
Operating system support included: Microsoft Windows NT 4.0 workstation, Windows95, Windows98. Network Operating System support includes Novell Netware 4.11a and Windows NT4.0 server. Software support included: Microsoft Internet Information Server 4.0, Microsoft SQL 6.5, Microsoft Office97, Adobe Exchange 3.0, Microsoft Frontpage98, and Eudora POP-3 client software. Network hardware support included: Cabletron SmartSwitch 2200, Cabletron SmartSwitch 6000, and the Cabletron MMAC Plus 6, utilizing a network environment running OC-3 over single and multi-mode fiber-optic cables.
