WiFi Wireless–N Repeater–300 WPS

2. Configuration

You can configure the device by connecting it with your computer/notebook with enclosed RJ45 cable or wirelessly. (Recommended is to do it with wire.)

2.1. Configure the device wirelessly

NOTE: Check whether the device accords with factory default settings if you cannot open . If you are not sure of the reason, you can reset the device, you just have to press the reset button for 10 seconds. After reset, try again.

2.2. Configure the device with RJ45 Cable

Plug in the device to a wall socket. Connect your computer/notebook with the enclosed RJ45 cable to the device. Then follow the steps 2.1.3. to 2.1.8. to configure the device.

3. Configure the Wireless AP – Mode

The following message willbe displayed onyour WEB browser:

SSID / The ”SSID” of your wireless network.
Channel / (recommended) Auto
Security tape / Setup the wireless security and encryption to prevent from unauthorized access and monitoring.
Supports 64/128-bit WEP, WPA, WPA2, WPA/WPA2 encryption methods.
Security key / The“password” of your wireless network.

4. Add the WLAN–computer / WLAN–notebook to the device

4.1.Log in to the computer.

4.2.Open Connect to a Network by right-clicking the network icon ( or) in the notification area.

NOTE: If you do not see icons in the Network folder, then network discovery and file sharing might be turned off.

4.3. Choose the wireless network from the list that appears, and then click Connect.

4.4. Type the network security key or passphrase if you are asked to do so, and then click OK. You’ll see a confirmation message when you are connected to the network.

4.5. To confirm that you added the computer: Open Network by clicking the Start button . Then click Control Panel and type “network” in the search box. Under Network and SharingCenter click View network computers and devices. You should see icons for the computer you added and for the other computers and devices that are part of the network.

5. Add a WLAN–PC /–notebook to the device via the WPS button

First check your Wireless Adapter: it must be WPS compatible; then you can do the WPS configuration.

 the SSID of the Wireless Adapter must be “Visible”.

 if the encryption mode of the Wireless Adapter must be set to WPA/WPA2.

5.1. Log in to the computer.

5.2. Press the WPS button on the WiFi Repeater for 2–3 seconds

5.3. Press the WPS button of the Wireless Adapter for 2–3 seconds

5.4. Click on “Finish”. Now the WPS configuration is completed.

5.5. You should see now the icon for the computer/notebook you added, as well as for other computers and devices which are part of the network.

6. Add a wired (Ethernet) computer to the device

6.1. Plug in the device to a wall socket.

6.2. Connect a computer/notebook with the device by using the enclosed RJ45 cable.

6.3. To confirm that you added the computer do the following:

6.3.1. Open Network by clicking on the Start button .

6.3.2. Then click on Control Panel. In the search box type network.

6.3.3. Then under Network and SharingCenter click View network computers and devices. You should see icons for the computer you added and for the other computers and devices that are part of the network.

How to configure your computer/laptop with the network IP Address

First LOG on to the computer.Second click on the “Start” button (it should be located at the lower-left corner of your screen). Click on“Control Panel”. Click on“View Network Status and Tasks”. Click on“Manage Network Connection”. Right-mouse click on“Local Area Network”. Then select “Properties”. When the “Local Area Connection Properties” window appears, select “Internet Protocol Version 4(TCP/Ipv4)” and then click on“Properties”.

7. Configuration via WebBrowser

7.1. Wireless BasicConfiguration

Click on “Apply” .The WiFiRepeater will restart.

7.2. Wireless Security Configuration

Delete / Remove the repeater connection profile.
Repeater SSID / The ”SSID” of your wireless repeater network.

Security tape / Setup the repeater SSID security type.
Security key / The “Password” of your repeater wireless network.

Click on“Apply” . The WiFi Repeater will restart.

8. Factory Default, Settings Backup, Restore

You can backup all Setting of this router to a file, so you can make several copied of router configuration for security reason. To backup or restore router setting follow the following instructions: Click “Save / Reload setting” located at the web management interface.

Then the following message displays on your web browser:

Save Settings / Press “Save…” button. You are prompted to download the configuration as a file. You can save it under another filename for different versions and keep it.
Load Settings / Press “Browse…” to pick a previously-saved configuration file from your computer. Then click “Upload…” to transfer the configuration file to router. After the configuration is uploaded, the router’s configuration will be replaced by the file you just uploaded.
Reset Settings / Click this “Reset…” button to remove all settings you made and restore the configuration of this router back to factory default settings

9. Firmware Upgrade

The system software used by this router is called as “firmware”, just like any applications on your computer. When you replace the old application with a new one, your computer will be equipped with new function. You can also use this firmware upgrade function to add new functions to your router, even fix the bugs of this router.

Click on “Management  Upgrade Firmware” located at the web management interface, and then the following message will be displayed on your web browser:

First click on “Browse…” or “Choose File”; you will be prompted to provide the filename of firmware upgrade file. Download the latest firmware file from our website, and use it to upgrade your router.

After a firmware upgrade file is selected, click n“Upload”, and the router will start firmware upgrade procedure automatically. The procedure may take several minutes, please be patient.

ATTENTION:Never (!) interrupt the upgrade procedure by closing the web browser or physically disconnect your computer from router.

If the firmware you uploaded is corrupt, the firmware upgrade will fail and you may have to return this router to the dealer of purchase to ask for help. (Warranty voids if you interrupted the upgrade procedure).

10. Change ManagementPassword

Default password of Wireless Router is “admin”, and it’s displayed on the login prompt when accessed from web browser. There is a security risk if you do not change the default password, since everyone can see it. This is very important when you have wireless function enabled.

To change password, click on “Managementpassword” menu on the web management interface. The following message will be displayed on your web browser:

If you want to keep original password unchanged, click “Cancel”.

Click on “Apply” . The WiFi Repeater will restart.
