Information about college scholarships and financial aid opportunities that comes to the Hartsville High School Guidance Department is published in a Scholarship Newsletter each month. This information is delivered to all seniors during their advisory period each month. It is the responsibility of the student to share this information with parents and guardians.

Criteria: Students create accounts and enter their accomplishments. For each achievement, you'll earn scholarships from colleges, which you'll be awarded when you attend that college.

Abbott and Fenner Scholarship

Who: Juniors, Seniors, and College Students

Criteria: To apply for this scholarship you will need to write an essay on the topic below. The essay should be between 500 and 1000 words. Your submissions must be sent by email at: .

2018 Journalism Contest Sponsored by the Governor’s Committee on Employment of People with Disabilities

Who: Seniors

Criteria: Write a three-page article on the benefits of hiring people with disabilities. This year’s theme is “Inclusion Drives Innovation.” Winner must complete a FAFSA as soon after January 1 as possible to verify financial need.

Amount: A four-year scholarship to the SC state-supported institution of his or her choice. The scholarship pays for undergraduate tuition and fees.
