President Susan Tyler called the WOS Annual meeting to order and she confirmed all present had signed in. A quorum was confirmed: 172 members, 39 ineligible to vote, require 66 for quorum, had 67 voting members.
She welcomed all new members to the park who were not at the 2008 Annual meeting.
Vice President David Santoy spoke to the purpose of the meeting. The owners elected the Board members present in front of the group and they work very hard for the owners and the park. The meeting is not a place for finger pointing, griping or shouting matches. Stated out of 170 owners only one person stepped up to run for the board and two current members are running for re-election. David stated he has spoken to members in the park and they have expressed how nice the park is compared to others around the area and feel the Board of Directors are doing a great job.
The park has rules and regulations. If we do not have rules and regulations we can’t protect our investments and we can loose a lot of money.
Robert Bambach reported on the roads. See Attachment. Bob thanked Bob Heil and Thomas Belcher for their help on the road project.
Board of Director Candidates Susan Tyler, Wanda Hammons and Ron Morris each gave a brief speech on their qualifications.
Susan called for the vote for the Board of Directors.
Jack Hammons spoke in open forum regarding the large amount of garbage left during the holiday(s). Stated that if the dumpsters are full members should take their garbage home. The garbage left on the ground or fall off when the dumpsters are full will not be picked up by the trunk and then are left for someone else to clean for the next week.
Robert Bambach ask the Board to check into a third dumpster during holiday weeks.
President Tyler provided the members with the reasoning for transferring the Sewer Lines and the Special Sewer Assessment funds to the WhiteOak Shores Sewer Service Corporation. She called the vote for the Sewer Lines to be transferred to the WhiteOak Shores Sewer Service Corporation and Transfer the Special Sewer Funds to the WhiteOak Shores Sewer Service Corporation.
Donna Santoy reported the Events Committee had backed off from events requesting financial contributions from the members due to the economy. The committee was going to have a Christmas celebration on December 12, 2009 and all the information would be posted at the pool and the office. Donna said they were looking for volunteers for the committee as well as for the individual events. She thanked everyone for their participation.
Donna asked everyone to think of Gladys and Richard Buchanan as well as Shirley Garner during their illness recovery.
Sherry Edgin spoke during open forum thanking everyone for their concerns during her illness. She spoke of her concern to the speed everyone was traveling on the new roads the number of dogs that are being walked without leashes.

Wanda reported in 2008 the park had 203 owners and 2009 we have
decreased to 172 soon to be 169. The books have not been audit for year-end due to the death of Ms. Heavy’s husband. The task will be completed when Ms. Heavy is available.
Wanda recognized Tammy Loftis, WOS Office Manager for her work she has been doing and her husband Tom for his donations to the park.
President Tyler thanked Wanda for her extensive work and dedication to ensuring the parks financials were accurate.
Architectural Committee – Wanda Hammons
Wanda recognized and thanked the ACC members Lee McDowell, Larry
Compton, Ed Homan and Terri Barnes. She went on the thank the
owners for their efforts in maintaining their properties to keep the park
looking nice.
Donna Gilmore recognized Terri and Richard Barnes for their work in maintaining the pool and bathhouse.
