In honor of Clem Nelson’s outstanding contributions to Earth sciences in the White/Inyo mountains, his friends and family established a fund for graduate student research in the "Early Earth History of the White/Inyo Range."
Applications are being accepted for one $3,500 award for research in this area. Graduate students, UC and non-UC, are welcome to apply. The award can be used to support expenses at WMRC, research supplies, and travel. Use of the Clem Nelson Trilobite Collection is encouraged but not required.
Deadline to apply is May 31, 2015.
