Cabin Fever Tours

What a winter it has been! Can’t stand the thought of one more day in your house? Need some fresh air, great architecture, and a stroll out of doors?

Graycliff is offering Cabin Fever Toursin February and March, including some special Valentines Tours as well.

  • Valentine’s Tour: Saturday, February 14 at 10:30 am (Two hour tour) ($32)
  • Valentine’s Tour: Sunday, February 15 at 1:30 pm (Two hour tour)($32)
  • Cabin Fever Tour: Saturday, February 14 at 1:00 pm (Basic one hour tour) ($16)
  • Cabin Fever Tours: Saturday, March 14th at 11:00 am (Basic) ($16) and 1:00 pm (In-Depth)($32)
  • Cabin Fever Tours: Saturday, March 21st, at 11:00 am (Basic) ($16) and 1:30 pm (In-Depth) ($32)
  • Master Architectural Tour: Saturday, Feb 14th at 1:15 pm (2 ½ hour tour led by architect) ($42)
  • Master ArchitecturalTour: Saturday, March 14th at 1:15 pm (2 ½ hour tour led by architect) ($42)

These tours vary in length and content…so there’s something for everyone.

The scandalous love life of that architectural genius and scalawag Frank Lloyd Wright will be revealed in two special Valentines Tours the weekend of February 14th and 15th at Graycliff. Murdermayhem, arrest under the Mann Act, insanity & drug abuse, running off to Europe with the wife of a client, all involving Frank Lloyd Wright, will be contrasted with the long and loving marriage of Isabelle and Darwin Martin, the original owners of Graycliff. What led the Martins and Wright to maintain a friendship through the decades, despite the differences in their personal lives? Find out on this riveting tour. Cabin Fever Toursare just the thing if you need some fresh air, nature, and magnificent architecture. Basic, In-Depth and Master Architectural Tours are on offer, and you will explore Graycliff’s buildings with the focus on pure architecture, without the encumbrances of greenery. Free hot chocolate following every tour.

About Graycliff:Graycliff is an architectural jewel designed by Frank Lloyd Wright, a scenic 8.5 acre estate overlooking Lake Erie, with sweeping views of Canada beyond. The complex, with three buildings and extensive grounds, was designed by Wright for Isabelle and Darwin Martin as a gracious, tranquil summer estate. Built between 1926 and 1931, it was occupied by the family until the mid-1940s.
