The Forest Park Boys Basketball staff is very well equipped to meet the basketball needs of your child. We successfully operate one of the largest All-Day basketball camps in Prince William County.
At this fun and competitive camp, we promote skill development, team play, sportsmanship, and FUN. We look forward to working with your son at the FPHS Camp of Champions!

Campers will be grouped by age and skill level. Each camper will receive an award, camp T- shirt, and instructions on how to improve their game.

Note: This is a basketball camp and NOT a licensed child care provider. The camp will be supervised by Coaches that are employees in the PWCS system. We will supervise campers as if they are students in our classrooms.

Camp Staff
Coach Mak: Coach Mak is the Head Boys Varsity Coach at Forest Park HS. He has been a part of the Forest Park basketball program for 15 years. Coach Mak grew up in the Dale City area and played basketball at Gar-Field HS. He graduated with a bachelor’s degree from Elon University and is currently a Special Education teacher at Forest Park High School.
Coach Hartung: Coach Hartung is the Head Boys JV Coach at FPHS. Coach Hartung played basketball at Butler high school in Butler, PA and graduated from The University of Pittsburgh Johnstown where he played basketball all four years and served as an assistant coach for one year. Currently, Coach Hartung teaches Math at Forest Park HS.
Coach Kelvin: Coach Kelvin is Assistant Boys Varsity Coach at Forest Park HS. Over the last 17 years, he coached various age and skill levels throughout Prince William County. Coach Kelvin grew up in the Dale City area and played basketball at Gar-Field High School. He is a Major Account Executive for Republic Services Inc, where he has been for 16 years.
Coach Pitts: Coach Pitts is the Head Freshmen Boys Coach at FPHS. He grew up in North Carolina where he was a multi-sport athlete and graduated from The College of William and Mary where he received a full athletic scholarship. Coach Pitts has been a coach or counselor at many high level basketball camps and has coached various sports, ages, and skill levels. Currently, Coach Pitts is a Federal Agent for Homeland Security.

I agree that in case of an accident involving my child while attending this camp and with full awareness that basketball is an activity that may involve risk or injury, I release the Basketball Camp, Forest Park High School, directors, employees from any and all liability. In case of an emergency, I give permission to the camp staff to offer first aid and/or call emergency personnel to properly transport my child to a medical facility for care.
