Interims/Home Access Center

Interims will be published to Home Access Center on Friday, November 13th, 2015. Students can print a hard copy if they would like in the media center on their own time, not classroom instruction time. Parents can come in and see Mr. Brown for a copy of the student’s progress report if they would like a hard copy or their username and password to access it virtually on their personal computer or smart phone.

News from Guidance

FSA RESULTS: Guidance counselors will be in the cafeteria handing back FSA percentile scores during all three lunches on Wednesday November 18th and Thursday November 19th. Please see them to receive your scores!

Punctuality Pays:

From now through Thanksgiving Break, students that arrive to class on time will have an opportunity to earn a yellow Punctual Pupil voucher from their teachers. The voucher can then be deposited into the Gold Hive Box located in the Media Center for a chance to win Buzz Dollars redeemable in the cafeteria, for extra-curricular activities or for Jacket apparel at the Sports Corner. The more vouchers you earn the better your odds of winning!So, make your punctuality pay. Arrive to class on time every day and you might be our next big winner!

Winter Guard Try Outs

The Winter Guard will be hosting a Spin Day this coming Tuesday Nov. 17 after school in the band room. It will be from 4:00 -5:00, and is an opportunity for YOU to try out spinning a flag, rifle or sabre! If you enjoy it from there, you have the option of joining the Winter Guard! There is no experience necessary, but we are looking for students that are ready to learn and work hard! Anyone is welcome – so bring a friend with you!

ASVAB Results

The recruiters will be here on Wednesday November 18th during Jacket Prep to review ASVAB results. If you took ASVAB in September, please plan to attend. You will need a signed permission slip for Jacket Prep in order to attend. If you have any questions see Ms. Raimann.

ACT Prep

Are you taking the December or February ACT College Entrance Exam?

If you are, please join us on Thursday, December 10th, periods 1-3, for an ACT Prep class to be conducted by our expert, Mr. Ingwersen! Mr. Ingwersen is widely acclaimed for giving students the strategies to improve their ACT scores to desired levels! SIGN UP IN THE GUIDANCE OFFICE – you will be sent a ticket to attend on Monday, December 7th.

Regular Club and Activity Meetings:

AICE Advisory Board creates and organizes activities for AICE students at SAHS, such as college tours and other fun events for AICE students to get to know one another better, plus support various community service organizations and host fundraisers to help provide financial support for the academic needs of AICE students.

Memberships: All AICE students, grades 9-12 are welcome. AICE parents & faculty are encouraged to join too!
