Who can participate in Spring2ACTion?

Any individual may donate. Donations through the Spring2ACTion site to nonprofit organizations are tax deductible and irrevocable (donations will not be refunded). Contributions may be made via credit and debit card only.

What organizations are eligible to receive donations and Spring2ACTion prizes?

Alexandria nonprofit organizations listed on the Spring2ACTion leaderboard are eligible to receive grants and prizes. Funds raised and prizes won must be directed towards Alexandria programs and services. Note, however, that any nonprofit organization in Alexandria is eligible to receive donations.

How much of the donation will go to the nonprofit?

The nonprofit organization will receive the full donation less a low, flat rate of 4.9% which covers the credit card processing and Razoo.com fees. We are thrilled to be able to offer this great value rate through our technology partners Razoo and their partnership with U.S. Bank, which waives select fees associated with processing credit and debit cards.

Is there a fee to participate?

There is no fee for an organization to participate in Spring2ACTion.

Is there a minimum donation?

The minimum donation on Spring2ACTion is $10.

Is there a maximum donation?

There is no maximum donation limit on Spring2ACTion.

Is there a limit to the amount an organization can receive during Spring2ACTion?

There is no maximum to the amount an organization may receive.

How can an organization receive donations?

If you are already listed on Razoo.com, you don’t need to do anything. If you are not listed on Razoo, please email our technology partner, Razoo, for more information at .

How will an organization know who has donated to them?

Organizations who have registered with Razoo can track donations in real time online. To request administrative rights go to Razoo.com and look for the green “Are you a nonprofit?” box and click “Get Started.”

If I am unsatisfied with my donation, can I get a refund?

No, all donations made throughSpring2ACTion are final and non-refundable in accordance with the Terms of Use found on Razoo.com.

What is a unique donor?

A unique donor refers to a person who makes a donation to a nonprofit on Spring2ACTion. The goal for Spring2ACTion is to engage 1,500 people – or unique donors - to give to Alexandria nonprofits on May 5, 6 and 7. Each person will be counted once in our “total donors” tally that will be updated every 30 minutes on the Spring2ACTion landing page. If one person makes donations to multiple organizations, they will be counted once per organization on the leader boards.

Can I give multiple times to help my organization win?

No; giving multiple times to your favorite donation will not help them climb up the leader board to win the grand prize. The leader board tracks each individual - or unique donor - who gives to that organization.

Who can win an “ACTion Hero” prize grant?

Throughout the 44-hour event, individual donors will be randomly chosen to receive a prize. Additionally the nonprofit that they donated to will receive an additional $100 in cash. The winning donors and nonprofits will be notified via email.

When individuals donate for Spring2ACTion, who will receive this information?

The nonprofit organization receiving the donation will receive the contact information for the donor. As the host of Spring2ACTion, ACTion Alexandria will also receive the information to be used solely to thank the donor for participating in Spring2ACTion; to provide the option to opt-in to receiving notifications from ACTion Alexandria; and to notify the donor of future Spring2ACTion activities and updates.

ACTion Alexandria can modify any restrictions or conditions if in the sole judgment of ACTion Alexandria, such restriction or condition becomes unnecessary, incapable of fulfillment or inconsistent with the charitable needs of the community. As such, ACTion Alexandria reserves the right to deny or condition the distribution of prize grants if, in the judgment of its Board of Directors, such restriction or condition becomes necessary.
