Nicholas Webber Profile: Executive Vice President Candidate

What is your perception and/or vision of CSU?

The role of CSU plays an important factor in the daily lives of students. Ultimately, CSU is the intermediary and bridge between the students and administrators/faculty at Creighton University. My vision of CSU is to simply serve and accommodate the student body at this university. We are to be the voice and advocates of the student community in order to accommodate all students by listening attentively to their diverse.

What are your goals for CSU and how do they fit within the mission statements of CSU and Creighton University? How would you go about achieving these goals (please address a strength of yours that could help)?

Some of my goals for CSU include putting the student first. By this, I mean every student here at Creighton University has his or her own unique, individual voice that needs to be recognized and heard. This is an important concept because it simply fits into the mission statement of CSU because CSU “exists to represent and serve the student community.” Moreover, CSU “is entrusted to serve as an advocate and voice for the student body…” This brings up another important goal for CSU which is to address the diverse needs of students by taking appropriate action. By doing this, students can be ensured that they have a president and Vice President who are very attentive to their various needs. Not only are the president and vice president attentive, but they are more than willing to take action and serve their needs on various occasions. In order to achieve these goals, I am willing to stand up for every student here at Creighton University because every student has his or her own individual voice that deserves to be heard and acknowledged. It is important to recognize that as vice president, I will do my best to serve the students because of my work ethic to persevere. I am dedicated to improving the social, educational, and cultural environment on campus to enhance every student’s experience here at Creighton University.
