What is the Incredible Years®?

Parenting can be challenging for a variety of reasons and it is a common experience to feel overwhelmed and unsure about how to make changes. The Incredible Years group gives you the opportunity to be with other parents to share ideas and learn ways to help you manage your child’s behavior positively.

The Incredible year’s group covers:

1. Ways to encourage positive behaviour in your child using special time, emotional coaching, praise, reward charts

2. Reducing negative behaviour directly through ignoring, time out for aggression and consequences

This is a non-judgmental, supportive, interactive group with group activities, discussions, video clips and with lots of helpful tips and guidance

How does it work?

Combining videos, group discussions and practical examples – where you’ll rehearse different scenarios – you will learn all the skills you need to care for your child.

You’ll be encouraged to identify your goals and work towards them, as well as workshop ways of tackling problems with the group.
